I am an Iranian artist, filmmaker and producer based in Northern England, working with film, installation, performance and writing. My practice is rooted in my dreams. It situates internal landscapes within external ones. Often stemming from long-term research-driven processes, I create site-responsive work interrogating our relationship to ‘place'.

Recent work highlights includes residency at Prospect Cottage (2025), former house of British film artist Derek Jarman, Memory Stone (2024), a film installation presented as my solo show at Lowry, Salford, Leave to Remain (2023), an audio visual performance developed with composer Babak Mirsalari commissioned by Opera North, Leeds and supported by Help Musicians, Indefinite Dreams: I am alive! (2022), a performance co-devised with composer Atefeh Einali commissioned by Nonclassical with an upcoming performance at Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival 2024 and Windcatcher & Gargoyles (2022), a film commissioned by The Tetley, Leeds. I have received grants and bursaries from Arts Council England, a-n artists and Screen Skills among others.
